First steps

If everyone can take a few moments to read & reblog this post, we can get a little closer to saving my 6 year old cousin’s life.
Her name is Kiki, and she is 6. She was diagnosed with stage 4 brain cancer in 2011.
I have watched her go from dancing and singing and coloring me pictures, to not being able to move or speak very much at all anymore and living in a hospital bed.
My uncle and aunt had to sell their house to be able to help pay for everything and they are currently living in Ronald McDonald foundation houses and traveling trying to find the best doctors and treatments.
I have tried tweeting to celebrities with a lot of followers to help spread the word, I have tried fundraisers and asking people in my neighborhood for help and it just isn’t working. I finally thought that maybe if I tried Tumblr, people would be kind enough to donate and pass this post along and maybe it will get enough people aware and helping!
A family friend, Tara Strong (voice actress that plays the voice of Timmy Turner, Bubbles from Powerpuff Girls, and many other characters), has been kind enough to help us out by signing posters and letting us sell them and tweeting about the fundraiser but that can only go so far..
EVERY SINGLE DOLLAR COUNTS if every person donated at least a dollar and reblogs this post I really think that we can get this thing going!
Thank you guys so much for the support! if you have any questions my email is laurengrrxx@yahoo.com and you can read more about our situation at the donation website:
Roseaposey, Judgments
I took this last year, but in retrospect, I think it’s my strongest piece from high school. Working on this project really made me examine my own opinions, preconceptions and prejudices about “slutty” women and women who choose to cover all of their skin alike. I used to assume that all women who wore Hijabs were being oppressed, slut-shame, and look down on and judge any woman who didn’t express her sexuality in a way that I found appropriate. I’d like to think I’m more open now.
